Cyber Security and the Founding of the Griffiss Institute
In the early 2000s, Dr. Triscari was asked by the Director of Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) in Rome, NY to conceive, develop and establish a “Center of Excellence” in Cyber Security and Information Assurance among Academia, Industry and Government.
Dr. Triscari secured $4.5 Million from New York State to establish the Griffis Institute in the Mohawk Valley region of upstate New York to drive regional community connections for the AFRL. Today the GI is a national nonprofit with an international network of academic, industry and government partners.
With defense technology transfer at its core, the Griffiss Institute is on a mission to inspire and prepare the next generation of scientists, engineers, and entrepreneurs to drive national security solutions from lab to market.
