Global Energy Security as the Distinguished Visiting Scholar at the Logistics Management Institute
In 2007-8, Dr. Triscari was appointed the Distinguished Visiting Scholar (DVS) at the (LMI) in McLean, Virginia. The primary focus of the year-long appointment was to provide leadership, vision and inspiration for defining and developing LMI’s research program.
Dr. Triscari’s research as the LMI DVS was on Energy Security. His activity of 15 years ago is still very much relevant today – below is a quote from his 2007 research proposal:
Global economic security hinges on achieving and maintaining global energy security in a turbulent and rapidly changing world. While the socio-political, economic, cultural and organizational challenges to global energy security are daunting, opportunities abound at regional, transnational, and global levels. The moment of truth is at hand – global economic and energy security will require global partnerships for global solutions.
